I have been woodworking for about 10 years and in that time, I have created many pieces, from hand-carvings in (and out of) wood and bone, to larger projects like aquarium stands and entertainment centers. I get most of my knowledge from the grand puba of woodworking, Master Carpenter Norm Abrahm (who, for those of you who don’t know, is host of The New Yankee Workshop ). The only training that I have ever received was in Elementary School in my Industrial Arts class (thank-you Mr. Oldford) – other than that, I have learned everything I know from friends and television shows like NYW and In The Workshop with John Sallotts (editor of Canadian Workshop Magazine).
